This Privacy Policy applies only to Tech.Army (however accessed) and other interactive features or downloads that are accessible or downloadable through, or related to, Tech.Army and owned by Tech.Army (collectively, the "Web Site"). The Web Site is owned by Tech.Army ("Tech.Army," "we" or "us"). This Privacy Policy only covers information collected at or via the Web Site and does not cover any information collected at any other web site or offline by Tech.Army (unless specifically stated). This Privacy Policy addresses how Tech.Army collects information at or via the Web Site, what information it collects, how it may use this information and other related issues. Please review this Privacy Policy carefully. In addition, please review the Web Site's Terms of Use, which govern your use of the Web Site.
Residents of the State of California, under certain provisions of the California Civil Code, have the right to request from companies conducting business in California a list of all third parties to which Tech.Army has disclosed personally identifiable information during the preceding year for direct marketing purposes. Alternatively, the law provides that if Tech.Army has a Privacy Policy that gives either an opt-out or opt-in choice for use of your personally identifiable information by third parties (such as advertisers) for marketing purposes, Tech.Army may instead provide you with information on how to exercise your disclosure choice options.
Tech.Army has opted for the alternative option and therefore it has a comprehensive Privacy Policy and provides you with details on how you may opt-out or opt-in to the use of your personally identifiable information by third parties for direct marketing purposes. Therefore, we are not required to maintain or disclose a list of third parties that received your personally identifiable information for marketing purposes.
This policy statement discloses our privacy practices including the notification of:
The Web Site may collect personally identifiable information about you, such as your name and e-mail address ("Personal Information") and other information that, on its own, cannot be used to identify you personally, such as your age ("Demographic Information"). If we ever use any Demographic Information together with any Personal Information, such Demographic Information will be treated as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy.
We will use the Personal Information and Demographic Information you provide to the Web Site as disclosed at the time we collect the information from you. In addition, this information may be used to:

We will not use this information to contact you for marketing purposes unrelated to your inquiry unless you agree otherwise. For security reasons, we do not recommend that you send non-public personal information, such as passwords, social security numbers, or bank account information to us by email.
This Web Site may make blogs, message boards and other public forums available to its users. If you post Personal Information online, it will be publicly available and you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties. We cannot ensure the security of any information you choose to make public. We also cannot ensure that parties who have access to such publicly available information will respect your privacy. Please exercise caution when deciding to disclose Personal Information in these areas.
Also, remember that if you submit comments, votes, blog entries, photographs, videos, music or other user-generated content to the Web Site, it may be published online or offline in any media or format (currently existing or hereafter developed). Others may have access to this content and may have the ability to share it with third parties across the Internet. Tech.Army may also publish your name, voice, likeness and other Personal Information with the content (or a portion thereof), and Tech.Army may use the content (or a portion thereof) for advertising, marketing, publicity and promotional activities. For full terms and conditions regarding user-generated content you submit to the Web Site, please review the Web Site's Terms of Use.
If you send a friend a communication from the Web Site, the information you provide is used on a one-time basis to facilitate the communication and is not used for any other marketing purpose, unless we obtain additional consent.
We also may, from time to time, combine the information we collect from you with information obtained from third parties. We may do this to provide you with services, tailor our content to you or present you with a chance to purchase products or services that may be of interest to you. We may combine information received from third parties with information we collect through the Web Site. In those cases, we will apply this Privacy Policy to any personal identifiable information received from third parties, unless we tell you otherwise at the time you provide us with your personally identifiable information.
We may collect certain non-personally identifiable information related to your usage of the Web Site and how you arrived at the Web Site ("Usage Information"), which may include a visitor's "IP Address" (discussed below) or another unique identifier for a device used to access the Internet, operating system, browser type, referring web site URL. This Usage Information allows us, among other things, to calculate the number of visitors to the Web Site, diagnose problems with the Web Site's server and operate the Web Site. Usage Information may also be used to tailor and improve the Web Site, serve you relevant content and/or advertising at the Web Site and serve you an appropriate version of a web page.
An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to you whenever you access the Internet and is often associated with the place where you enter the Internet like your ISP ("Internet Service Provider"), your Tech.Army or your university. This IP address may be the same each time you access the Internet or it may change.
Web pages at the Web Site may utilize cookies, which are small data files that your web browser places on your computer (or other Internet-accessing device) when you visit a web site. These cookies may allow us to collect information to tailor your user interface and facilitate your navigation of the Web Site. Your browser may allow you to reject cookies. However, the Web Site may not function properly if you reject cookies. We do not typically save Personal Information in cookies, but we may link cookies to any information we collect. The Web Site may also use web beacons, clear gifs, pixel tags or technologies (as they become available), which allow third parties to monitor and collect certain information about the viewer of a web page, web-based document or message sent by the Web Site, such as browser type. We use the information collected though these technologies for a variety of purposes, such as to serve you relevant content and/or advertising at the Web Site, count Web Site visitors and monitor Web Site traffic patterns.
Scripts and other programming code used in the Web Site may collect non-personally identifiable information regarding use of the Web Site, such as web pages visited, for how long they are visited and which links are clicked. We may use this information for a number of purposes, for example, to enhance or customize content served to users of the Web Site.
The Web Site may use third party network advertisers to serve advertisements on the Web Site and may use a traffic measurement service to analyze traffic on the Web Site. Network advertisers are third parties that display advertisements based on your visits to the Web Site and other web sites you have visited. Third-party ad serving enables us to target advertisements to you for products and services in which you might be interested. Although advertisers and other companies do not have access to cookies set by the Web Site, the Web Site's third party ad network providers, the advertisers, the sponsors, and/or traffic measurement services may themselves set and access their own cookies and technologies on your computer. These third party cookies and/or technologies may be set to, among other things, help deliver advertisements to you that you might be interested in, to prevent you from seeing the same advertisements too many times and to conduct research regarding the usefulness of certain advertisements to you. Note that any images (or any other parts of a web page) served by third parties in association with third party cookies and/or technologies may serve as web beacons, which enable third parties to carry out the previously described activities. Third party cookies, web beacons and other technologies are governed by each third party's specific privacy policy, not this one. While we may use a variety of companies to serve advertisements on the Web Site, you may wish to visit the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page, which provides information regarding the "opt-out" procedures of certain third party ad servers we may use.
We do not share your Personal Information with third parties for those third parties' marketing purposes unless you opt-in to or opt-out of such sharing at the time you provide your Personal Information (for example, you may be provided with an opt-out choice on a sweepstakes registration form). We may share non-personally identifiable information, including aggregated statistics and Usage Information that is not associated with Personal Information, with third parties. Also, we may share information collected about you, including Personal Information ("Information"), as disclosed in this Privacy Policy, as explained when you provide your information and as described below.
We may use or otherwise authorize third parties for certain purposes related to exercising our rights or performing our obligations under the Web Site's Terms of Use, such as hosting the Web Site, designing and/or operating Web Site features, enabling us to send you communications, or distributing or otherwise exploiting content or communications. These other companies and individuals may have access to Information, but will only have access to perform services for you or Tech.Army.
We may offer sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions through the Web Site. These features may require registration. If you choose to enter a sweepstakes, contest or other promotion, Information may be disclosed to third parties in connection with the administration of such promotion. For example, in connection with winner selection; prize fulfillment; and as required by law, such as on a winners list. You may also need to agree to the official rules for a promotion, which may contain specific requirements of you, including, except where prohibited by law, allowing the sponsor(s) of the promotion to use your name, voice and/or likeness in advertising or marketing associated with the promotion.
We may also transfer and disclose Information to third parties:
We may also use IP address to identify users, and may do so in cooperation with copyright owners, internet service providers, wireless service providers or law enforcement agencies in our discretion.
We may disclose and transfer Information: (i) to our parent and its subsidiaries and affiliates; (ii) to a subsequent owner, co-owner or operator of the Web Site or applicable database; or (iii) in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, restructuring, the sale of substantially all of Tech.Army's stock and/or assets or other corporate change, including, without limitation, during the course of any due diligence process; provided, however, that this Privacy Policy shall continue to govern such Information.

In the unfortunate event that your personally identifiable information (as the term or similar terms are defined by any applicable law requiring notice upon a security breach) is compromised, we may notify you by e-mail (at our sole and absolute discretion) to the last e-mail address you have provided us in the most expedient time reasonable under the circumstances; provided, however, delays in notification may occur while we take necessary measures to determine the scope of the breach and restore reasonable integrity to the system as well as for the legitimate needs of law enforcement if notification would impede a criminal investigation. From time to time we evaluate new technology for protecting information, and when we deem appropriate, we upgrade our information security systems.
